1. Introduction
   Developin ("we," "our," "us") provides a platform for developers to monetize their projects. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Project Ownership & Verification
   Creators are responsible for ensuring they have the legal rights to monetize a project.
   Developin provides multiple ownership verification methods (e.g., GitHub, domain, package registries), but we do not independently verify project authenticity.
   By monetizing a project, you agree that you are the owner or an authorized representative.
   Misrepresentation of project ownership may result in account suspension, removal, or legal action.
3. Subscriptions, Features & Changes
   Creators may offer subscription-based access to their projects.
   Creators may update, replace, or discontinue features. Where material changes occur, they are encouraged to notify subscribers.
   Developin is not responsible for refunds or compensation related to such changes.
   If a creator offers off-platform benefits (e.g., Discord access, consulting), they are solely responsible for their delivery and quality.
4. Payments, Subscriptions & Fees
   All payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).
   Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
   Creators are responsible for compliance with applicable tax regulations.
   The platform fee decreases with higher subscriber counts and has a minimum of 5% + £1.00 per subscriber.
   Stripe and other gateway fees are deducted separately.
   Creators must set a minimum subscription price of £5.99.
5. Referral Program
   Referral rewards are based on the first month’s platform fee paid by the referred subscriber.
   Referrals must be unique and genuine to qualify.
   Abuse of the referral system may result in withheld rewards or account suspension.
6. GitHub Access
   Some plans may include GitHub access (read or contributor).
   Developin facilitates access where possible but is not responsible for GitHub API limitations or delays.
   Creators must use their GitHub credentials or apps to manage collaborator access.
7. Subscription Plan Versioning
   Plan changes do not automatically affect existing subscribers.
   New plan versions may be created by the creator.
   Subscribers must opt into newer versions manually.
8. Chargebacks & Fraud
   Invalid chargebacks may result in account bans.
   Developin may suspend access to investigate disputes or suspected fraud.
9. Refunds & Disputes
   Refunds must be handled directly between subscribers and creators.
   In the case of verified fraud, Developin may assist with chargeback claims.
10. Prohibited Content & Conduct
    The following is prohibited:
    - Illegal or fraudulent activity
    - Hate speech or harassment
    - Distribution of malware or exploits
    - Copyright violations
    - Impersonation of individuals or organizations
    - Artificial inflation of activity, subscribers, or engagement
    Violations may lead to immediate suspension.
11. Platform Trust & Misrepresentation
    While we offer verification tools such as GitHub integration, Stripe onboarding, and profile badges, we do not independently verify the legal identity or authenticity of any user or project.
    Users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before subscribing.
    If you suspect impersonation or deception, report it to us immediately.
    As with real-world transactions, any misconduct may be escalated to appropriate authorities.
    Developin disclaims responsibility for losses resulting from misrepresentation or impersonation.
12. Third-Party Payment Processing & Liability
    All payments and payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. By using Developin, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Stripe Connect Account Agreement.
    Developin does not store or control your funds. We cannot override Stripe’s decisions regarding onboarding, payouts, or account restrictions.
    You acknowledge that transactions are made at your own risk, and that we do not guarantee any creator's activity, deliverables, or future updates.
13. Digital Content & Guarantees
    Developin is a funding platform, not a software distribution service.
    We do not guarantee code delivery, support, uptime, or feature completion.
    All contributions are made voluntarily.
14. Liability & Limitations
    Developin is not liable for:
    - Project performance
    - Creator inaction
    - Lost earnings
    - Data breaches
    - Undelivered content or features
    We provide tools to help creators and supporters connect, but final responsibility lies with the user.
15. Account Suspension & Termination
    We may suspend or terminate accounts for any violation of these terms, our policies, or applicable laws.
    Users may appeal decisions by contacting support.
16. Amendments to Terms
    These terms may be updated at any time.
    Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of the most recent version.
